Every Quarter, Same Room

Community dialogue facilitators have been reviewing their work together on a near-exact quarterly cadence since August 2024 — almost every session in this record carries its own banner, with an exact date and venue.

Supported by Sweden Technical partner: Life & Peace Institute Dire Dawa, Ethiopia PAR Project

The venue shifted once, from Karamara Hotel in 2024 to East Star Hotel from 2025 onward, but the practice itself didn't break: a room of community dialogue facilitators, reconvening roughly every three months to review how the work is going. Six of the seven sessions below carry their own event banner with an exact date.

The First Meeting

Before the quarterly cadence began, there was a first gathering — the origin point for what would become a recurring practice.

Fourth Quarterly Meeting

The fourth session in under four months — a group photo against the same recurring event banner.

V.Jul 3, 2025 · East Star Hotel, Dire Dawa

Quarterly Review Meeting

The venue moves to East Star Hotel for 2025. An EDI roll-up banner in the room states the organization's mission and six strategic pillars in full — the fullest official self-description found anywhere in the archive.

VI.Jun 17, 2026 · East Star Hotel, Dire Dawa

First Round Quarterly Review Meeting

Nearly a year on, the practice continues under a new naming convention — "rounds" rather than sequential numbers — but the same rhythm.

VII.Jul 31, 2026 · East Star Hotel, Dire Dawa

Second Round Quarterly Review Meeting

The most recent session in the record — banner verbatim: "Inclusive Dialogue · Community Ownership · Sustainable Peace · Lasting Change." Held the day after the Mediation Hub story's government-linkage workshop, at the same hotel.

A note on this draft

Every date and quoted title above is read directly from an on-camera event banner, except Chapter I (no banner, date unknown) and the "same rhythm" framing in Chapter VI (inferred from the recurring naming pattern, not stated outright).

Missing: facilitators' names, first-person testimony, and outcome data. A separate folder of individually-named facilitator portraits exists in the archive but is deliberately not used here pending confirmed consent to publish names and faces.
